The Taktser Foundation was established in 2008 by Mr. Gyalo Thondup, the elder brother of His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama. The foundation is a nonprofit, non-partisan think tank dedicated to the creation of an accurate perspective on the many issues affecting Tibet and its people throughout the world. The logo reflects the style and color of the Tibetan flag and shows the world's highest mountain, Mt. Everest, which sits on the border of Chinese Tibet and India. Brightgreen Design provided its design service free of charge.
